Since 2007 Duo Imaginaire (clarinettist John Corbett and harpist Simone Seiler) have been performing together. This collaboration includes recitals at the World Harp Congress in Sydney, Australia as well as at the Symposium of the German Clarinet Society in Rostock.

In October 2010, Duo Imaginaire together with the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra gave the premiere of the “Sinfonia Concertante Nr. 5 - Imaginaire” also dedicated to them by Carlos Micháns.

In 2012 the Duo signed up to the label Tyxart which has released three CDs so far.

Based on transcriptions of the french Impressionists and a sparse number of original works for this combination, the Duo has enlarged the repertoire with it’s own arrangements of works by e.g. Debussy, Beethoven, Granados, De Falla, Satie, Bartók.

Furthermore, it has increasingly collaborated with contemporary composers acquiring and premiering over 20 new works by Frank Zabel, Stefan Heucke, Dietrich Hahne, Jörg Birkenkötter, Martin Christoph Redel, Gordon Kampe, Manfred Stahnke, Andrew Digby, Yasuko Yamaguchi, Kumiko Omura and Matthew Orlovich.
