VITA
Highly praised by the press, Duo Imaginaire delights its listeners with the unusual and distinctive sound combination of clarinet and harp. The international performing duo impresses with its enormous expressiveness and virtuosity and, in addition, subtle, nuanced playing.
The duo is particularly passionate about the music of the romantic and modern. Driven by curiosity and openness, the musicians help original fame as well as unknown, forgotten treasures to gain new fame or surprise their audience with their own arrangements of well-known works and let them appear in a fascinating new world of sound.
Their success has already given the leading international duo over 70 concerts e.g. at the international World Harp Congress 2014 in Sidney, Australia and at the symposium of the German Clarinet Society in Rostock.
Harpist Simone Seiler graduated in 2009 with the concert exam at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and is a prizewinner of the GWK and numerous national and international competitions.
Clarinetist John Corbett studied with Prof. Hans Deinzer in Hanover and was solo clarinetist of the EG Jugendorchester, Ensemble Modern and MusikFabrik NRW for many years.
The two artists are currently active as solo musicians in the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra and have broad concert experience with internationally renowned ensembles, orchestras and conductors.
